Chillisauce are an events management team based in london, who have a relaxed, quirky attitude towards their work. They asked me to redesign their addchillisauce website based around a series of bold and playful illustrations to reflect the ethos of the business. I had a great time working on both the illustrations and the design elements of the project simultaneously – I really felt like I learnt a lot about how both processes can influence each other in pretty surprising ways!

My starting point was an existing logo, which used a solid blocky typeface and a bright red/orange colour scheme. This had a big influence on the final style of the illustrations, which I hope will sit along side the logo as a natural extension of the brand.

For the website, I aimed for something a little more subtle – trying to avoid anything too boxy or cramped and using a light grey/red colour scheme. It was also a great opportunity to expand both my knowledge of jQuery (javascript library) and using WordPress as a fully fledged management system as opposed to just a blogging platform!
